Last night David and I attended the LAVA general meeting to discuss the WPCA project with representatives of the various groups associated with LAVA. Our main goals were to evaluate the amount of interest from the people present, and to discuss the possibility of using space at LAVA to house collections and/or process material. After viewing the available space at LAVA, David and I decided we would need to look into other options.
Several group representatives showed interest in our project. And we look forward to working with them as the project moves forward. One area of business we were especially interested in being clear about was the fact that any material we work with will need to be donated to us. That is, that we will have the right to move it wherever we end up.
Future steps include looking for space to process/house collections. A local university expressed interest some months ago about offering space. This is one possibility we will investigate.
